"Not even Terra knows just how far this body can go. But...I saw. Even when he was injured, we both fought equally. ... Now then, let's see what you've got." -Nethwine, while controlling Terra through hypnosis in a battle against Angie
Nethwine is second-in-command of the Dark Auras, under Chard. He is very active with the Dark Auras, often spearheading many of their assaults. To those outside of the Dark Auras, it's easy to assume him as the true leader of the Dark Auras.
Nethwine looks like any regular Popopo, with a brown body, red feet, and black eyes. His only distinguishing factor is in the pair of red, hashtag-shaped cheek marks.
Nethwine is a very powerful fighter, and, with his Remnant Club/Cannon, can cover both melee and long-range options. He can load his cannon with a varied supply of munitions, as well, making him unpredictable at times.
Reckless, arrogant, condescending, and willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, Nethwine is very persistent in his attempts at anything, often dancing around guidelines to take down his enemies. His attitude is nothing short of condescending, where he constantly overlooks his enemies and underestimates them, resulting in very dangerous situations. He takes no prisoners, and doesn't care about whether or not he kills. No matter the situation, it is rare for him to not seem calm and collected, unless thoroughly outmatched.
Relationships with Other Characters
Nethwine was frustrated at Terra for having nearly killed him in their first battle, and has since done a number of things to try and get back at him, such as turning him against his own through hypnosis, or finding (and releasing) his evil half, Spur, or even stealing his elements and taking them for his own use. Even then, he still tries to mask his simple intention to kill Terra off.
- White and Mega had not initially intended for Nethwine to be Terra's archnemesis, but the two kept it like that after they realized how well he fit the role to have that kind of relation to Mega's character.
